ANCESTRY RESEARCH SERVICES & FEES

Services & fees:
In genealogy it's impossible to predict how much it will cost to research an entire family; it is such an unknown quantity. So much depends on how well documents were kept, which documents have survived, and how mobile your ancestors were. It also depends on the depth of research that you wish me to undertake. Initially we offer a free no obligation consultation to discuss and review your requirements. we will then provide you with a quotation for a project designed especially for you.

We concentrate on the following areas of family tree research.

  • Pedigree Package:
    For research of ancestral lines, a Report with sources, some documentation and the framed Pedigree product, a set fee is charged depending on the nature of your requirements and whether you require one or two ancestral lines researched - further details offered on request and every project can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
  • Heir Hunting:
    This is a specialist service designed to establish the existence and whereabouts of living descendents in the event of a deceased person not having married or leaving any issue.
    Photographic restoration service
    Again, our fee for this work depends on how many hours it takes to conduct the investigation which is usually based upon how much data is already know about the existing family. Full quotations upon request.
  • All other services:
    Our hourly research/look-up fees are in the region of £25 per hour, with any documentation/certificates that are acquired charged additionally at cost. A minimum of 3 hours is usually set to begin with. When you receive the results, you can then decide upon which route you wish us to take to further your research. Larger commissions would be subject to mutual agreement before the work is undertaken and, as in all of our services, we report to you regularly on progress. We are also pleased to offer a photographic service at the same hourly rate (to include travelling time), within a 25 mile radius of home to provide you with pictures of churches, headstones or locations linked to your ancestors.
