ANCESTRY RESEARCH SERVICES & FEES
In genealogy it's impossible to predict how much it will cost to research an entire family; it is such an unknown quantity. So much depends on how well documents were kept, which documents have survived, and how mobile your ancestors were. It also depends on the depth of research that you wish me to undertake.
Initially I offer a free no obligation consultation to discuss and review your requirements. I will then provide you with a quotation for a project designed to meet your specific needs.
I concentrate on two areas of family tree research.
- Pedigree Package: For research of ancestral lines, a report with sources, some documentation and the framed Pedigree product, I charge a set fee depending on the nature of your requirements and whether you require one or two ancestral lines researched – further details offered on request and every project can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
- Look-up Service: My hourly research/look-up fees are in the region of £25 per hour, with any documentation/certificates that I acquire charged additionally at cost. I am also pleased to offer a photography service at the same hourly rate (to include travelling time), within a 25 mile radius of my home to provide you with pictures of churches, headstones or locations linked to your ancestors.

- New Service - Photographic Restoration: Old family photographs of your ancestors can be cleaned and restored, depending on the quality of the print and its age. I would be happy to quote you for restoring, re-sizing and re-printing your old photograph. Please contact me for further information.
My experience as a family historian is based upon a quarter of a century’s research and a knowledge of the resources available.
Domiciled in the south of England I'm a regular visitor to the Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies Library and a member of the Hertfordshire Family History Society and Gloucestershire Family History Society. I am also registered with a Christ's Hospital Pedigree and can prove my descent as a Consanguine of John & Frances West, founders of the West Charitable Foundation for Education at Christ's.
I have a passion for family tree research and the ability to generate my skills and experience into researching other people's ancestry to provide them with a lasting memory of their roots.
